What Goes Into Lasting Concrete & Masonry
Most concrete problems start before the concrete arrives. Cracking, settling and drainage issues usually trace back to the ground underneath, so a good result depends on site preparation, a properly compacted base, correct forming and grading, and reinforcement suited to the load the slab will carry.
Finishing and curing matter too. A driveway, a patio and a garage slab each call for different thicknesses, finishes and slopes, and fresh concrete needs time to cure before it carries heavy loads.
Masonry follows the same principle. Brick, block and stone veneer last when they sit on a sound foundation, with the right mortar and proper flashing and drainage where they meet the rest of the building. We plan those details as part of the scope, not as an afterthought.
