Coordinating Gutters With Your Exterior

Gutters often form part of a larger exterior project. Pendergraft Construction can coordinate gutter installation with roofing, fascia, soffit, siding and related exterior construction when the project requires it.

Written Scope and Warranty

Your written agreement defines the gutter scope, price and project terms. Gutter installation includes a 36-month workmanship warranty.

Why Seamless Gutters Matter

Gutters do one job: move rainwater off the roof and away from the building. When they overflow, sag or leak, that water ends up where it does the most damage. It soaks fascia boards, stains siding, washes out landscaping and collects against the foundation.

Seamless gutters are formed on site to fit each run of your roofline, so there are far fewer joints where leaks usually start. Downspout placement matters just as much as the gutter itself. Each downspout should carry water to a spot where it can drain away from the structure instead of pooling beside it.

We look at the size of the roof, its pitch, where the water concentrates and how the property drains before recommending a gutter size, style and downspout layout.

Common Gutter Questions

Should I replace my gutters when I replace my roof?

It is often the right time. The gutters, fascia and drip edge all meet at the roof edge, and handling them together avoids removing new gutters later. Because we also do roofing, we can coordinate both scopes on one schedule.

What is the difference between 5-inch and 6-inch gutters?

A 6-inch gutter carries more water, which can help on larger or steeper roofs and on runs that collect water from several roof planes. A 5-inch gutter is common on many homes. We recommend the size based on your roof, not a one-size-fits-all rule.

Do you install gutters on commercial buildings?

Yes. We install seamless gutters and downspouts for both homes and commercial properties, and we can coordinate the work with other exterior construction on the building.

Is gutter work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Gutter installation includes a 36-month workmanship warranty, and your written agreement spells out the scope, price and project terms.
